WAG Sept. 18-22 | Terry Fox, BBQ/Open House, Indigenous Pow Wow Dancers, AfterSchool Program

Terry Fox Run Update

It was sight to see all our Awesome Acadians running around the field for Terry Fox. We raised $591.90 for cancer research! Congratulations!

We want to see you! BBQ & Open House

On Thursday from 4-7pm we will have a BBQ and open house.

School council will have regular and halal hot dogs for parents.  Families should bring their own drinks and sides to go with the hotdogs.

Teachers will be outside on the field from 4:00-5:30 to casually meet with families as we picnic outside on the field and then teachers will move inside to their classrooms from 5:30-7:00pm to meet with families as well. Families can attend this event any time between 4:00-7:00pm at a time that works best for each family. This initial conference is a time for parents to meet their child’s teacher and the teacher to meet the families so this conference is more informal than our November and March interviews.  The November and March interviews will follow a more traditional format of a scheduled interview to allow for more in depth discussion about student achievement.

Friday, September 22, there is no school for students and teachers will be setting up meetings with individual families who may require a more formal meeting with the family and the student.

Please know that if you have any questions about your child’s academic achievement or have any questions or concerns, your child’s teacher is the first person to connect with.  All teacher’s emails can be found on the Acadia School website through this link: https://sool.cbe.ab.ca/school/Acadia/about-us/contact/staff/Pages/default.aspx
