A reminder that School Council has organized Acadia T-shirts. The office has extra forms and is collecting orders so please stop by if you need a replacement form. 

Next week we will welcome a new teacher. Faye Waldren will be our new literacy intervention teacher hired with funds from Alberta Education. She will be with us from February 26 - June 28. 

Jump Rope for Heart is continues with our event fast approaching on March 1.  We have been celebrating skipping all month, and fundraising for Canada Heart and Stroke Foundation. We always need volunteers and we appreciate your help on field trips and special activities, which we can’t do without many volunteers. CBE has a new Volunteer process. Parents and guardians can now register to volunteer online in the School Engage tab in their MyCBE account. Members of the community without a child in the system can also create a School Engage account to utilize this program. 

Volunteer & Admin Process – Quick Tips 

  • Applicant completes Volunteer form on MyCBE parent account or create a SchoolEngage account (if they do not have a child in CBE) 
  • School Administration reviews the volunteer form online. 
  • Administration goes on CBE Security Clearance website and adds new volunteer, generates the screening letter on school letter head and emails letter to applicant’s email. 
  • Applicant completes ePIC on Calgary police website. 
  • Once applicant receives the Clearance letter to volunteer – They upload this letter on their volunteer form on mycbe account or SchoolEngage account. 
  • Administration then Approves Volunteer application on SchoolEngage & Approves volunteer on CBE Security Clearance website. 
  • Now Complete. 
  • The cost is still $21.25
