Terry Fox Run Update

It was sight to see all our Awesome Acadians running around the field for Terry Fox. We raised $679 for cancer research! Congratulations! We will continue to accept donations until Friday Sept 20.

Open House

We want to see you! On Thursday from 4-7 PM we will have a BBQ and open house.

School council will have regular and halal hot dogs for parents.  Families should bring their own drinks and sides to go with the hotdogs.

Teachers will be outside on the field from 4:00-5:30 PM to casually meet with families as we picnic outside on the field and then teachers will move inside to their classrooms from 5:30-7:00 PM to meet with families as well. Families can attend this event any time between 4:00-7:00 PM at a time that works best for each family. This initial conference is a time for parents to meet their child’s teacher and the teacher to meet the families so this conference is more informal than our November and March interviews.  The November and March interviews will follow a more traditional format of a scheduled interview to allow for more in depth discussion about student achievement.

Updates

Friday, September 27, there is no school for students and teachers will be setting up meetings with individual families who may require a more formal meeting with the family and the student.

Please know that if you have any questions about your child’s academic achievement or have any questions or concerns, your child’s teacher is the first person to connect with.  All teacher’s emails can be found on the Acadia School website on the Our Staff page.

Grade 6 needs your help! Each year the grade 6’s go to camp and have amazing experiences. For some students, this is their first time at camp or even sleeping away from home! Grade 6’s also help offset the cost through various fundraisers all year long. Their first fundraiser is a used book sale! If you have any books you would like to donate, children or adult books, please send them to school by September 25 to be included in the book sale.
