On Monday, October 7, Celtic music performer, Kiérah will present her interactive program - “Celtic Traditions Across Canada” at Acadia School. Kiérah is a professional violinist that has chosen Celtic music as her passion and career of choice. She loves to bring her performance to the schools so that students and teachers can have an opportunity to hear and learn about this seldom heard music - this side of Canada. They will learn about its history and how it has evolved over time along with hearing an incredible fiddle performance. Kiérah will demonstrate 8 different styles of fiddle playing, including a Metis tune requiring a cross tuned fiddle.
