Caroling
Students will be caroling in the gym each day next week as part of our celebration of the winter holidays. Please see the Important Dates (above) for students to fully enjoy each day’s festive themes. We can’t wait for a fun week of music and joy!
Cold Weather Reminders
Looks like the weather is turning cold again next week! Students are expected to go outside for recesses unless the temperature is –20C or colder. We use the weather app on the school website to determine local temperature. Please ensure your child has weather-appropriate clothing on these upcoming cold days.
Lost and Found
A reminder that we still have many lost and found items! Hats, toques, mitts, water bottles, sweaters and hoodies are waiting to come home! Teachers will walk students past lost and found this week, but if you are looking for something in particular, please remind your student to come down and look. All unclaimed items will be donated afterschool on Friday December 20.
Bottle Drive
The bottle drive raised $403.70 for Open Minds field trips. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
Lunch Reminders
We have noticed that some students are still feeling hungry after finishing their lunches, especially since the cold weather began, and this can affect their focus and energy levels throughout the school day. To ensure your child stays ready to learn, we kindly ask that you pack a little extra food for their lunch. Including items like a hearty sandwich or main course, healthy snacks, and fruits or vegetables can help keep them satisfied. If your child goes to Adventures Childcare, please consider including an additional snack for later in the day.
