Terry Fox Run
Acadia School is once again taking part in the annual Terry Fox Run. It will take place on Friday, September 15. For many of us, Terry’s story is well known. If, however, you would like more information on Terry’s story, you can visit the Terry Fox Foundation website here. To date, the Terry Fox Foundation has raised over 850 million dollars for cancer research. As a school, we will be hosting an Awesome Acadian Assembly, starting at 8:00am on Friday, before warming up and proceeding to the field to participate in a school wide Terry Fox Run.
Birthday Treats
Acadia School asks all parents to please refrain from sending in any special treats for school to celebrate your child’s birthday. Please know that Acadia School acknowledges all children’s birthdays (if your family celebrates birthdays) but to keep our school healthy and safe we ask parents to not send in treats for your child’s birthday.
If classrooms are doing any other celebrations or learning tasks requiring food, your teacher will reach out to the parents with this specific request.
