Today the school was a sea of orange as we honoured Orange Shirt Day in Acadia and renewed our commitment to truth and reconciliation by ensuring that the stories of survivors are heard, their pain acknowledged, and their strength celebrated. A big thank you to the parent’s who donated the shirts! We also want to take this moment to invite all CBE staff, families, and friends to join us on Saturday, September 30 at Fort Calgary to commemorate National Day for Truth and Reconciliation & Orange Shirt Day (invite attached under Resources). 

Another HUGE shout-out to Ms Williams and Ms Dion and for their help on Ms Epp’s field trip at the last minute. We can’t run field trips without parent volunteers and trips run the risk of being cancelled if we don’t have adequate supervision. If you have volunteer clearance, please consider helping out! If you don’t but are interested, please stop in at the office with current ID to pick up a letter for screening with Calgary Police Service. 

Patrols will be out next week. Please understand that we have 57 students patrolling, with many beginner patrollers. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Beginning next week, Acadia School will be participating in an online school perception survey for students called the OurSCHOOL Student Survey. This anonymous survey is completely voluntary for all CBE students.   Please find the details of the survey implementation in the attached letter under Resources.
