Thank you, parents and families, for attending Parent-Teacher Conferences! The sharing of student progress is very important to your child’s success in school. Your active involvement provides valuable insights to their education, helping us tailor our approach to meet individual needs. If you have further questions or feedback, please feel free to reach out to your child’s teachers or the office 

We began distributing winter concert tickets during conferences. As a reminder of the dates:  

• December 12 (kindergarten/Grade 1 performance),  
• December 13 (Grade 2/3 performance),  
• December 14 (Grades 4, 5, 6 performance).   

All of the concerts will start at 6:15pm with doors opening at 6:00pm.   

As we have previously shared to families, because of Calgary Fire Department Fire Code restrictions, Acadia School is only allowed to have 470 people in the gym at any time.  To comply with the fire and life safety requirement of the Alberta Fire Code, we will be issuing tickets to families coming to the Winter Concert presentations.   

Families in Kindergarten to grade 3 will get 3 tickets per family and families in grades 4-6 will get 2 tickets per family to attend the Winter concert. We know that this is a change from previous year’s concerts but we must comply with these orders.  If there are any families that do not need their full allocation of tickets, we will try to redistribute these tickets to other families who may be requiring more tickets.   

We will also be welcoming any family members who are unable to attend the evening performance to our afternoon dress rehearsal performances which will happen at 1:45pm on the same day of each grade team’s performance.  (for example Kindergarten/Grade 1 classes will have their dress rehearsal at 1:45pm on Tuesday, December 12, Grades 2/3 at 1:45pm on Wednesday, December 13, and Grades 4-6 at 1:45pm on Thursday, December 14).

• Dec 14 (Thursday): Grade 4-6 doors open at 6:00, concert starts at 6:15pm 
• Dec 15: No school for Kindergarten 
• Dec 22: Last day of classes before Winter Break
