Next week looks like a drastic change in weather from the negative values to +5 degrees by Tuesday, +4 on Wednesday then back to freezing by Friday.  This is going to cause a lot of water around our school.  We will remind children to stay out of the water but inevitably I am sure some students will end up with some wet feet next week.  If families could please send students with a couple pair of dry socks that they could change into after recess, it would be appreciated. 

With the change in the weather we will see an increase in ice around the school. Mr. Flores, our Facility Operator, will do his best to spread sand and gravel to help mitigate people slipping on the ice. We remind all families to “walk like a penguin” and walk slow and safely over the ice as you make your way to and from school.  

Thursday is Twin Day! Students might ask you for some help in organizing their outfits for this fun day. Please remind them on Thursday morning as they get ready for school.

We will being doing Jump Rope for Heart in February. We have some exciting events planned, with the kick-off during the next Awesome Acadian Assembly on Friday. More information will follow.

Reminder to parents about paying for field trips, lunch fees, school fees.  The school is unable to accept any cash payments.  All payments should be made through their student’s My CBE portal or families can pay in person at school with a debit or credit card. 

Report cards will be visible to parents on MyCBE as of Monday, January 30.
