Important Dates for this week:  

Open House Thank you! 

A huge thank you to everyone who visited the school on Thursday October 24 for our Open House. We loved meeting you! A special thank you for the brand new shoe donations, the prize drawer donations, and Costco for the amazing backpacks. While we ran out of shoes quickly, we still have some backpacks available in the office. If your student needs a new backpack, please have them come to the office anytime this week and collect one. 

Orange Shirt Day – September 29 

On Tuesday, September 29, our school will recognize Orange Shirt Day, a day to honour the Survivors of residential schools and remember the children who never returned home. Orange Shirt Day encourages us to reflect on the lasting impacts of residential schools and to reaffirm our commitment to truth, reconciliation, and respectful relationships. Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange as a visible reminder that Every Child Matters. Please note that there is no school on Wednesday, September 30 in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 

Art Fundraiser 

Get ready for our annual Art Fundraiser! Over the coming weeks, students will be creating special artwork in their classes that can be transformed products like greeting cards, mugs or ornaments through Created by Kids. More information will be coming home soon, including a preview of your child’s artwork and details about the products available for purchase. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child’s creativity while supporting our school. Please note that orders are due November 3. We look forward to sharing these unique creations with you! 🎨🖌️
