Important Dates for this week:

Walk for Wenjack Week: October 19-23

During the week of October 19-23, our school will participate in Walk for Wenjack Week to honour the legacy of Chanie Wenjack and to continue learning about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools in Canada. Throughout the week, students will engage in age-appropriate learning activities that promote truth, reconciliation, empathy, and respect for Indigenous peoples and cultures. As a school community, we encourage students and families to take time to reflect on the importance of walking together on the path toward reconciliation. You can find further information here: https://downiewenjack.ca/our-work/walk-for-wenjack/
