Many Acadia students are really excited for spring sports, but we would like to remind families that Lacrosse sticks, baseball bats and baseballs are not allowed at recess times. Some students have permission from their teacher to bring their Lacrosse stick for use during instructional gym time, so please contact the teacher directly if you have a question. Football at Acadia is touch football. There is no tackling in any sport.
We have an update on Nation's Vision, who came to Acadia to do free eye exams. They will return next week (April 15-18) to do the many students who were absent and to complete the second round of assessments. They will only contact families of students who require glasses due to the amount of students who they are assessing.
To community members using the playground during school hours, just a friendly reminder that starting at 11:40 the older kids from grades 4 to 6 use the playground for lunch recess. To ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment, we kindly ask that all kindergarten students wrap up their play. We appreciate your help in helping to make the playground a fun and safe space for all our students!
Please see your teacher’s email for times and dates for the Tennis residency. We are very excited and grateful to Acadia Parent Society for funding this activity and making it accessible to all students at no cost.
