On Friday June 21 we will be recognizing National Indigenous Peoples Day on the summer solstice. This important day provides an opportunity for us to recognize and appreciate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples across Canada. Throughout the day, students will engage in various activities designed to foster understanding, respect, and appreciation for Indigenous cultures. To promote collaboration and peer learning, students will be paired up in buddy groups, where they will have the opportunity to explore Indigenous themes through shared readings and discussions of culturally relevant literature. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
The last day of school is quickly approaching! A reminder that Thursday June 27 is the last day of classes and we dismiss at 12:05pm.
It’s time to celebrate! As our Grade 6 class prepares to move on to new schools and new adventures next year, we will say goodbye to them on Wednesday June 26. Parents and families are welcome to attend. Doors open 12:30 and the ceremony begins at 1pm.
